Soccer Recap: Crystal River Comes Up Short

Crystal River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lake Weir Hurricanes. That's two games in a row now that Crystal River have lost by just one goal.

Their goal came courtesy of Dante Brooks, who's now up to two this season.

Crystal River's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Lake Weir, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2-1.

Looking ahead, Crystal River will host Nature Coast Tech at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lake Weir, they are taking a road trip to take on Leesburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
