Baseball Game Preview: Yough Cougars vs. Southmoreland Scotties

Yough is on a four-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Southmoreland a five-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Yough Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Southmoreland Scotties at 4:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Yough is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs last Thursday, they were much more limited against West Mifflin on Monday. They fell 4-1 to the Titans. The contest marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Southmoreland started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Burrell. They lost 13-3 to the Bucs on Wednesday.

Southmoreland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Yough, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
