Volleyball Recap: St. Francis Spartans vs. Saint Viator Lions

St. Francis had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Saint Viator Lions on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Spartans sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

St. Francis easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-17.

Addy Horner paced St. Francis' offense, picking up ten kills. Horner got some help from Jenna Glaudel and her 13 assists. Dylan Kokkinos controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

St. Francis pushed their record up to 26-12 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to aces: they averaged an imposing zero aces in those games compared to only zero in the others. As for Saint Viator, they moved to 27-10 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

St. Francis didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Wheaton Academy on the 7th. Saint Viator does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
