Softball Recap: Dyer County Triumphs

While Dyer County's victory against Crockett County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Choctaws skirted past the Cavaliers 9-8. The win continues a trend for the Choctaws in their matchups with the Cavaliers: they've now won three in a row.

Katie Caldwell was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last four games. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Wray, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Dyer County's record is now 22-7. As for Crockett County, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 24-8.

Coming up, Dyer County will welcome Obion County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Crockett County, they will face off against Munford at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Cavaliers surely won't give up without a fight.
