Leading Andrews Academy to victory were Alexa Leonor and Audrey Simpson. Leonor scored 18 points along with two steals, while Simpson scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and seven blocks. Simpson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Havvah Schnepp was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds.
Andrews Academy's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Spring Valley Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Andrews Academy will square off against Tournament Opponent at 5:20 p.m. on Thursday. Tournament Opponent is no doubt hoping to put an end to a 15-game streak of away losses. Spring Valley Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Miami Valley at 6:45 p.m. on February 5th.
