Baseball Game Preview: Frontier Falcons vs. South Newton Rebels

For the second straight game, Frontier will face off against South Newton. The Falcons will be playing at home against the Rebels at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Frontier has four straight wins, South Newton has 23 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Frontier had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt South Newton on Tuesday. The Falcons put the hurt on the Rebels with a sharp 16-6 victory. Considering the Falcons have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Frontier pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for South Newton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-18.
