The Einstein Titans are taking a road trip to take on the Seneca Valley Screaming Eagles at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Einstein's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups.
While Einstein didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-6), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against Whitman on Saturday as they made off with a 19-0 win. That 19-run margin sets a new team best for the Titans this season.
Paulina Mann made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Mann was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one triple.
In other batting news, Natalia Day and Sophie Lang did most of the damage at the plate: Day went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs, while Lang went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Aubrey Forsgren was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Einstein hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Whitman struck out seven times.
Meanwhile, Seneca Valley came up short against Churchill on Saturday, falling 17-7.
Maggie Harrison was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. Harrison is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Kharma Jackson also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.
Einstein's record now sits at 6-1. As for Seneca Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
