Contreras lost against Mendez back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cobras came up short against the Jaguars, falling 22-3. The Cobras' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Joselyn Carrasco made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got two hits.

Contreras' defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Mendez, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.

Coming up, Contreras will venture away from home to challenge Belmont at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cobras are facing the Sentinels at the right time seeing as the Sentinels are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Mendez, they will be playing at home against Robert F. Kennedy Community at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bobcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15 runs per game on average), something the Jaguars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
