Lynden put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by the Sehome Mariners to the tune of 69-16. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked second, while the Mariners are ranked 145th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lynden pushed their record up to 13-0 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.7 points per game. As for Sehome, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Lynden Lions duke it out with the Burlington-Edison Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Lynden's defense has only allowed 29.8 points per game this season, so Burlington-Edison's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Sehome, they will square off against Lakewood at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
