Volleyball Game Preview: Century Centurions vs. Cobden Appleknockers

The Century Centurions are taking a road trip to take on the Cobden Appleknockers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Century will be strutting in after a win while Cobden will be coming in after a loss.

On Tuesday, Century earned a 2-0 victory over Egyptian. The win continues a trend for the Centurions in their matchups with the Pharaohs: they've now won seven in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Century took both sets by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-15.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Cobden's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 2-0 to Zeigler-Royalton.

While Cobden was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-23.

Cobden's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Century, their victory bumped their record up to 12-16.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Wednesday's match: Century has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 10.2 aces per game.
