Football Game Preview: Madison Plains Golden Eagles vs. Greeneview Rams

Madison Plains is 1-9 against Greeneview since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Golden Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Rams at 7:00 p.m. Madison Plains has given up an average of 39.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Madison Plains took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 46-34 victory over Catholic Central. The Golden Eagles' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Greeneview didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Cedarville on Friday, but they still walked away with a 19-14 win.

Greeneview's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.0 points on average over those games. As for Madison Plains, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Madison Plains was dealt a bruising 33-0 loss at the hands of Greeneview in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Golden Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
