Volleyball Recap: Liberty Bison vs. Rancho Christian Eagles

Liberty lost against Rancho Christian back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bison came up short against the Eagles, falling 3-0. The Bison have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-19, 25-15.

Catalina Loven paced Liberty's offense, picking up nine kills. Loven got some help from Cadence Drumm and her 12 assists.

Rancho Christian had a senior duo take command as Brighton Richards had nine digs and one assist and Bailey Morrison had 48 assists and one block. Those 48 assists set a new season-high mark for Morrison.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Rancho Christian, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 24-4.

Liberty and Rancho Christian should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Bison (ranked 363rd) will meet Arlington (ranked 802nd) at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Rancho Christian will challenge Poly at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (40 vs. 135).
