Baseball Recap: Hot Springs Takes a Loss

Hot Springs lost against Socorro back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Tigers fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 6-5. The Tigers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Hunter Montoya was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Hot Springs is 4-1 when Montoya posts two or more runs, but 0-5-1 otherwise.

Hot Springs' loss dropped their record down to 4-6-1. As for Socorro, they moved to 4-6 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Warriors beat Hot Springs by a score of 6-5 later that day.
