Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Colonel Richardson). They put the hurt on the Washington Jaguars with a sharp 18-7 victory on Wednesday. Considering the Colonels have won six matches by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

TJ Wegner was a standout: he scored a run and stole five bases while going 3-for-5. Those five stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Derrick Mitchell was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

The win was the third in a row for Colonel Richardson, bringing their record up to 8-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Washington, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colonel Richardson will take on North Caroline at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Washington, they will face off against Mardela at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
