Volleyball Recap: DeKalb County Comes Up Short

DeKalb County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Upperman Bees. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bees this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-15, 25-10.

Leading Upperman to victory were Emery Huddleston and Shayla Burchett. Huddleston had seven digs and two aces, while Burchett had seven digs and two aces. Huddleston has been hot for a while, having also posted 13 or more assists the last 23 times she's played.

DeKalb County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Upperman, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 22-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. DeKalb County will welcome Warren County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Upperman, they will challenge Cannon County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
