Basketball Recap: Norcross Comes Up Short on the Road Against St. Francis

Norcross had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 50-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Francis Knights. If the Blue Devils were looking for revenge after losing 65-47 to the Knights when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

St. Francis got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cam Golston out in front who posted 12 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists. That's the most boards Golston has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Peyton Mann, who had 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Norcross and St. Francis will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Blue Devils see the court they'll take on Stockbridge at 5:30 p.m. on the 18th. As for St. Francis, their break will end when they face Hoover at 8:30 p.m. on the 28th.
