Soccer Game Preview: Ridgeview vs. John Battle

Ridgeview hasn't had much luck against John Battle recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wolfpack will welcome the Trojans at 5:30 p.m. Ridgeview has given up an average of 7 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Ridgeview's offense. They came up short against Abingdon on Tuesday, falling 12-0. While losing is never fun, Ridgeview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 266th, while Abingdon are ranked 88th).

Meanwhile, John Battle came into Tuesday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Neither they nor Central Wise could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked John Battle's first draw of the season.

John Battle's draw gives them a new season record of 3-4-1. As for Ridgeview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.
