Baseball Game Preview: Lincoln College Prep Blue Tigers vs. Truman Patriots

Lincoln College Prep hasn't had much luck against Truman recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Lincoln College Prep will look to defend their home field against Truman at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

After dropping their season opener at home, Truman is headed out to face a Blue Tigers squad ready to give their home crowd a win. Lincoln College Prep came up short against Oak Grove on Monday, falling 7-0.

Meanwhile, Truman scored first but ultimately less than Raymore-Peculiar in their match on Saturday. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 5-4. The loss put an end to the Patriots' undefeated start to the season.

Caden Deeney made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. Deeney is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Anthony Manfredi was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
