Basketball Game Preview: Buckingham Charter Knights vs. Sacramento Adventist Capitals

Buckingham Charter is 0-10 against Sacramento Adventist since February of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Buckingham Charter Knights will be playing at home against the Sacramento Adventist Capitals at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Tuesday, Buckingham Charter came up short against Western Sierra Collegiate Academy and fell 41-30. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Sacramento Adventist ended up a good deal behind John Adams Academy - El Dorado Hills on Tuesday and lost 43-28. The contest marked the Capitals' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Sacramento Adventist saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kyla Friedrich went 5-for-10 en route to 15 points and five rebounds. Friedrich is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last eight games she's played.

Sacramento Adventist's loss dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Buckingham Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.

Buckingham Charter was taken down by Sacramento Adventist 53-16 in their previous meeting back in January. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Buckingham Charter was down 29-4.
