It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Oakland ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Camas Valley Hornets 7-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Oakland.
Ty Percell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off one hit. Percell was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with a home run, three runs, and four RBI.
