Volleyball Recap: Jonesboro Takes a Loss

Jonesboro extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping them down to 4-8. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Clinton Dragons. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dragons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.

As for Clinton, their record is now 3-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since September 28, 2024.

Leading Clinton to victory were Alaina Staudenmaier and Maggie Moke. Staudenmaier had 12 assists and ten digs, while Moke had four digs and two aces.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jonesboro will venture away from home to face off against Union Grove on Tuesday. As for Clinton, they will head out to take on Campbell County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
