Volleyball Recap: Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian Takes a Loss

Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Fort Wayne South Side Archers.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-12, 25-15.

Sheldon Klopfenstein paced Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian's offense, picking up six kills. Klopfenstein got some help from Jack Brandt and his 19 assists. Klopfenstein was also a major player on defense: he and he shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with two each.

Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Fort Wayne South Side, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-7.

Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Fort Wayne Wayne on the 22nd. As for Fort Wayne South Side, they will head out to take on Homestead at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Archers surely won't give up without a fight.
