Baseball Recap: Culver Community Cavaliers vs. Caston Comets
Culver Community had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 1-7 to make it four. They fell just short of the Caston Comets by a score of 5-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Comets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-1 on Thursday.

Jonas McCuen was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
In other batting news, Kael Buschman was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
