Basketball Recap: North Branch Takes a Loss

North Branch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 80-36 loss at the hands of the Becker Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 365th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 166th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Becker to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nathan Weiss, who posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Bryce Paumen, who earned 16 points.

North Branch's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Becker, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Branch will welcome Chisago Lakes Area at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Becker, they will host Fridley at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday.
