Recap: Lone Star Rangers vs. Frisco Raccoons

The Lone Star Rangers had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.9 points), and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They beat Frisco by the very same score they won with last week: 41-10. The result was nothing new for Lone Star, who have now won five matches by 31 points or more so far this season.

Leading Lone Star to victory were Collin Blackstock and Davian Groce. Blackstock rushed for 20 yards and two touchdowns, while Groce gained 139 total yards and two touchdowns.

Lone Star's victory was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-10 Liberty and 2-8 Lebanon Trail (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 41.8% over those games). As for Frisco, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-4.

Lone Star will head out on the road to face off against Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Heritage will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 309th, while Lone Star is ranked 52nd). As for Frisco, they will be playing at home against Wakeland on Friday. Wakeland will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
