Baseball Recap: Plymouth Whitemarsh's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Plymouth Whitemarsh proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 13) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the North Pocono Trojans 3-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Colonials, who have now won three matches in a row.

Jake Rauscher looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Plymouth Whitemarsh saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabe Caucci, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double. That double marked the first that Caucci has hit this season.

The win got Plymouth Whitemarsh back to even at 5-5. As for North Pocono, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 7-3 record.

Looking ahead, Plymouth Whitemarsh will face off against Quakertown at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Pocono, they will square off against Scranton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Knights will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight.
