Basketball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Rancho's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

Rancho won the last time they faced Desert Oasis and things went their way on Thursday too. The Rancho Rams came out on top against the Desert Oasis Diamondbacks by a score of 64-55. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Diamondbacks are ranked 44th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rancho is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for Desert Oasis, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Rancho will challenge Canyon Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Rancho will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. As for Desert Oasis, they and Green Valley will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Green Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.8 points per game this season.
