Preview: Rangely vs. West Grand
Rangely may have come out ahead in their last contest, but they shouldn't get too cocky given who is up next. They hope to keep the momentum going despite having enjoyed some extra time before their next contest against West Grand at Rangely High School at 7:00 PM on Friday. Each team will be battling to keep a win streak alive as Rangely skips in on four wins and West Grand on five.
Rangely made easy work of Vail Christian two weeks ago and carried off a 46-22 victory. Senior Drew Brannan, who passed for 200 yards and 4 touchdowns, was a major factor in Rangely's success.
Meanwhile, West Grand put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season last Friday. They put the hurt on Vail Christian with a sharp 48-14 win. The team accrued the bulk of their points in the first half (42) and coasted on those for the win.
Rangely took a serious blow against West Grand the last time the two teams met, falling 0-46. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
