Softball Recap: Moses Brown's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Moses Brown's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Cumberland Clippers with a sharp 9-1 victory. The game was the first time the Quakers have beaten the Clippers on their field since May 24, 2019.

The team relied heavily on Elodie Cannon, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Emmy Monchik was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

Moses Brown's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3. As for Cumberland, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moses Brown will venture away from home to square off against Smithfield at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Cumberland, they will head out to take on Scituate at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
