Basketball Game Preview: Clark County Bobcats vs. Mackay Miners

Clark County hasn't had much luck against Mackay recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Clark County Bobcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Mackay Miners at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Clark County is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Saturday. They came up short against Challis, falling 76-53. One positive for the Bobcats, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Mackay unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Monday. They lost 55-32 to Butte County. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Miners have suffered against the Pirates since January 24, 2017.

Mackay's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Clark County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Clark County lost to Mackay on the road by a decisive 33-14 margin in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Clark County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
