Stevenson has gone 10-0 against Waukegan recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Stevenson Patriots will face off against the Waukegan Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Wednesday, Stevenson didn't have too much trouble with Mundelein as they won 63-48.

Meanwhile, Waukegan hadn't done well against Warren Township recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Waukegan took down Warren Township 60-41. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Blue Devils are ranked 388th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Waukegan's win came from a few key players Stevenson will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Evelyn Petty, who went 6 for 9 on her way to 16 points and four steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Baakir Christian, who went 6 of 7 en route to 14 points and eight boards.

Waukegan is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for Stevenson, their win bumped their record up to 15-10.

Stevenson beat Waukegan 45-36 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Stevenson since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
