Basketball Recap: Clark Finds Home Court Redemption Against Madison

There's no place like home for Clark, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 41-24 victory over the Madison Mavericks on Tuesday. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 212th, while the Mavericks are ranked 930th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Madison's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Sophia Alejandro, who posted nine points and seven rebounds, and Ashlyn McKindra, who put up seven points and six boards. That's the most points McKindra has posted since back in December of 2024.

Clark's win bumped their record up to 13-14. As for Madison, their loss was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-26.

Clark will challenge Brandeis at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Madison has already played their next contest (against Johnson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
