Tampa Bay Tech had won seven straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they bumped up to 4-2 to make it eight. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 50-7 win over the Spoto Spartans. That looming 50-7 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Titans yet this season.

Isaiah Daniel was his usual excellent self, rushing for 94 yards and one TD. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 75 yards. Trevon Moore was in the mix as well, providing Tampa Bay Tech with two scores.

Tampa Bay Tech's defense stepped up as well, laying out Jesse Harden seven times. Jeremy Johnson was especially locked on to Spoto's QB and sacked him 3.5 times. Johnson also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with nine. Barry Marshall got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Tampa Bay Tech, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Tyson Stroud, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

As for Spoto, they suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 3-3. Having soared to a lofty 39 points in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

When it comes to explaining why Spoto lost, don't look at Harden. Despite the final result, he rushed for 91 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries, and also threw for 104 yards on seven of 14 attempts.

Tampa Bay Tech will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against East Bay at 7:30 p.m. on the 10th. As for Spoto, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 49-0 victory against Freedom on the 3rd.
