Tri-Valley is 8-2 against Sheridan since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Tri-Valley Scotties will venture away from home to face off against the Sheridan Generals at 7:15 p.m. Tri-Valley will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Tri-Valley will head into Tuesday's contest having proved themselves against West Muskingum: Tri-Valley took a 20-point defeat the last time they faced off against West Muskingum, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Tri-Valley narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past West Muskingum 59-56. Given the Scotties' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Tornadoes are ranked 257th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Sheridan's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 79-55 to Maysville.

Sheridan's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Tri-Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Tri-Valley took their win against Sheridan in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 67-42. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tri-Valley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
