Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Capac

While Capac's victory against Marlette wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Chiefs had just enough and edged out the Red Raiders 3-1. Winning may never get old, but the Chiefs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

J Owens made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Owens was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

In other batting news, J McGeorge was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one stolen base. W Roose was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Capac's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Marlette, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Capac will square off against Ubly at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marlette, they will head out to square off against Genesee Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
