Baseball Game Preview: Nevis Tigers vs. Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Wolves

For the second straight game, Nevis will face off against Walker-Hackensack-Akeley. The Tigers will be playing at home against the Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Nevis is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Walker-Hackensack-Akeley on Monday. They lost 19-1 to the Wolves. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered against the Wolves since May 12, 2017.

For Walker-Hackensack-Akeley's part, Colter Hegg made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Hegg was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Nevis, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-2.
