Basketball Game Preview: Petersburg Vikings vs. Wrangell Wolves

The Petersburg Vikings will challenge the Wrangell Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Saturday, Petersburg was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 46-42 to Craig. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Wrangell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. The game between them and Metlakatla didn't end well, with Wrangell falling 54-37.

Wrangell's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Petersburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Petersburg beat Wrangell 54-43 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Does Petersburg have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wrangell turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
