Soccer Recap: Orion/Sherrard Comes Up Short

If Orion/Sherrard was feeling good fresh off their 4-0 takedown of DePue/Hall on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The United came up short against the Illini Bluffs Tigers on Monday, falling 5-0. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Orion/Sherrard couldn't quite close it out.

Orion/Sherrard's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-2. As for Illini Bluffs, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-1-2.

Looking ahead, Orion/Sherrard will square off against Riverdale at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Illini Bluffs, they will take on Cornerstone Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
