Basketball Recap: Trinity Leadership Continues Home Dominance on Friday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wilson, Trinity Leadership was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 39-37 victory over the South Oak Cliff Bears. The win was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Trinity Leadership's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Vivienne Carroll, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards. Those nine boards gave Carroll a new career-high. Emani Taylor was another key player, putting up nine points.

Trinity Leadership pushed their record up to 10-10 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories didn't necessarily come from the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.4 points per game. As for South Oak Cliff, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-11.

Trinity Leadership is taking a road trip to face off against A Plus Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for South Oak Cliff, they will welcome Sunset at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
