Softball Recap: Jim Thorpe Olympians vs. Panther Valley Panthers
Jim Thorpe had lost ten straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 2-15 to make it 11. They lost 24-13 to the Panther Valley Panthers. Olympians fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Panthers since on Friday.
Hannah Zacharias made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Kaylyn Costello, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
As for Panther Valley, they now have a winning record of 7-6. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by ten runs or more this season.
