Baseball Game Preview: Cleveland Indians vs. Grand Oaks Grizzlies

Cleveland is 0-4 against Grand Oaks since April of 2023 but things could change on Tuesday. The Cleveland Indians will square off against the Grand Oaks Grizzlies at 4:00 p.m.

Cleveland managed to slip by Aldine the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Cleveland came up short against Aldine on Saturday, falling 7-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Indians were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Grand Oaks was able to grind out a solid win over Paetow on Saturday, taking the game 6-3.

Drew Johnson looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lee Bull, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Collin Martin also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Grand Oaks was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.

Grand Oaks' record is now 7-5. As for Cleveland, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.

Cleveland might still be hurting after the 11-1 loss they got from Grand Oaks in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Cleveland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
