Baseball Recap: Boulder Comes Up Short

Boulder was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Monarch Coyotes. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by just one run.

Gavin Nguyen made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Boulder's loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Boulder didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-9 defeat against Fairview on the 20th. As for Monarch, they will square off against Westview at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
