Soccer Recap: Laurel Takes a Loss

Laurel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 7-0 to the East Central Hornets. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Tornadoes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 back in December of 2024.

Laurel's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for East Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Laurel will face off against Vancleave at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for East Central, they will square off against Gautier at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Gautier will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something East Central surely won't give up without a fight.
