Baseball Recap: Freedom Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Freedom won the last time they faced Innovation and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Patriots were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Bulls. The Patriots not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 11th.

Freedom got a great performance from Wandy Soto as he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Freedom's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Rhys Rego, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Those two runs gave Rego a new career-high. Another was Christian Median, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Freedom was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Freedom moved to 6-13 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Innovation, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

Freedom didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-4 victory against Davenport on the 2nd. As for Innovation, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Tohopekaliga on the 8th.
