Tranquillity and Avenal are an even 4-4 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Tigers will host the Buccaneers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Tranquillity and six for Avenal.

Tranquillity's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Coalinga on Friday. They were beaten by the Horned Toads 55-0. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 855th, while the Horned Toads are ranked 342nd).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 55-6, which was the final score in Avenal's tilt against Mendota on Friday.

Avenal's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Tranquillity, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-8.

Tranquillity won a contest that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in November of 2024, slipping by Avenal 35-34. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Buccaneers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
