Basketball Recap: Dexter Comes Up Short

Dexter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 71-43 loss at the hands of the Neelyville Tigers. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bearcats came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 178th, while the Tigers are ranked 378th).

Dexter's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Neelyville, their win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-10.

Dexter has already played their next match (against Bernie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Neelyville is taking a road trip to challenge Naylor at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
