Basketball Recap: Lakeside Piles Up the Points Against Cleveland

Lakeside won the last time they faced Cleveland and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Lakeside Lions breezed by the Cleveland Eagles to the tune of 57-29. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Lions just coasted through the last quarter.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chris Saunders, who posted eight points. Muku Idris was another key player, putting up six points.

The win was the third in a row for Lakeside, bringing their record for this year to 6-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points per game. As for Cleveland, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Lakeside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 58-44 victory against Ingraham on the 10th. As for Cleveland, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-42 loss against Chief Sealth on the 10th.
