Thunderbird Adventist Academy will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Tri-City Christian Academy on Wednesday. Thunderbird Adventist Academy was the clear victor by a 6-1 margin over Tri-City Christian Academy. Daniel Puente was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Verde Valley strolled into their game on Monday with an undefeated record and they left with the same. They blew past ASU Preparatory - South Phoenix 5-1. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Verde Valley's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked first, while ASU Preparatory - South Phoenix are ranked 27th).

Thunderbird Adventist Academy's win bumped their record up to 9-0-1. As for Verde Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 10-0-1.
