Basketball Game Preview: Beaufort Eagles vs. Stall Warriors

Beaufort is 2-7 against Stall since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Beaufort Eagles will welcome the Stall Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Beaufort sitting on four straight victories and Stall on three.

Beaufort is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Cross to the tune of 69-41 on Monday. Beaufort's win was all the more impressive since the Stingrays were averaging only 30 points allowed on the season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Beaufort to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jania Hayward, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine steals. Hayward is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Zaria Coaxum, who went 8 of 14 en route to 21 points and four steals.

Beaufort smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in ten consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Stall earned a 48-40 victory over Cross on Tuesday.

Beaufort's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Stall, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.

Everything came up roses for Beaufort against Stall in their previous meeting back in November, as the team secured a 51-20 win. Does Beaufort have another victory up their sleeve, or will Stall turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
