Baseball Recap: Mount Tabor Spartans vs. East Forsyth Eagles
Mount Tabor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 15-5 to the East Forsyth Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-1 last Tuesday.
David Thiel was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with four RBI. Another player making a difference was Will Koonin, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.
Mount Tabor's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for East Forsyth, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-3.
Coming up, Mount Tabor will head out to face off against East Surry at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for East Forsyth, they will be playing at home against Davie at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
