Baseball Recap: Mount Tabor Takes a Loss

Mount Tabor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 15-5 to the East Forsyth Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-1 last Tuesday.

David Thiel was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with four RBI. Another player making a difference was Will Koonin, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Mount Tabor's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for East Forsyth, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-3.

Coming up, Mount Tabor will head out to face off against East Surry at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for East Forsyth, they will be playing at home against Davie at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the War Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
